SALE DETAILS
The goal of the “Sell It All “ is to sell all Dr. Finn’s Games currently in stock. The sale begins with 50% orders over $50. Periodically (e.g., every 2-3 weeks), we will make the sale better by either reducing the cost of individual games (which will be indicated by “On Sale”) or by increasing the percentage off (with a likely increase in the minimum sale price). For items “on sale,” the percentage off will be on the sale price (so you increase your savings). If an item says “out of stock,” it means that it is temporarily out of stock because we have extra stock at a warehouse and it is in transport to us. Once a game goes completely out of stock, the item will no long appear on the “Shop” page. The sale will continue until all games are sold. The sale is for U.S. customers only. Games will usually be shipped within 5 days, but if there is a delay, you will be informed. Tracking information will be emailed to you once shipped.
WHY? DR. FINN’S GAMES BEGINS A NEW CHAPTER (pun intended)
For many years, Dr. Finn’s Games has been a small independent game publisher. Thanks to the support of wonderful Kickstarter backers, we have been able to publish quite a number of great games. However, Dr. Finn’s Games has always struggled to gain mass appeal and so has had difficulty in selling the extra games made during the Kickstarter campaigns. Due to this, Dr. Finn’s Games is no longer going to publish physical games. Instead, Dr. Finn’s Games will begin to design game books, which will essentially be like print and play games but in a book form. Using Amazon’s KDP service, which is a print on demand service, Dr. Finn’s Games can create fun and quick games without needing to manufacture games that require storage. Our first Kickstarter campaign to help fund this effort will be launching in April 2025 and will be for “Dr. Finn’s Solo Strategy and Word Games” book. By supporting Dr. Finn’s Games Kickstarters and by purchasing the games through the “Sell It All” sale, you are helping make this new chapter possible.
STEVE FINN’S PLANS
As a game designer, Steve will continue to design tabletop games, but will pitch these games to more established publishers, who have the resources to make games with a wider distribution. With the success of Cities (co-designed with Phil Walker-Harding and published by Devir), Steve is hopeful that he will be able to work with more publishers in the future, though this is also a very challenging affair, given the fierce competition currently in the board game world.
